In 2023, for the fifth consecutive year, ICL was announced to be one of 484 companies across 45 countries and regions to be included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI). The GEI aims to track the performance of public companies committed to transparency in gender-data reporting and measures gender equality across five pillars: women leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and pro-women brand.
In the 2023 BDi ranking for the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Israel, ICL was ranked 14th among all Israeli companies. Among all Israeli industrial companies ICL was ranked 1st. This survey-based ranking measures the views of Israeli employees and managers, as well as peers, regarding their current and preferred places of work and takes into account their companies’ investment in human capital.
ICL was rated B for its 2022 Climate Change Disclosure in CDP and was ranked C, for its Water Security disclosure, submitted for the first time.
ICL is also engaged in CDP’s sub ranking SER, with a score of A-.
In 2022, ICL was included for the third time in the FTSE4Good Index, for companies with strong ESG practices. ICL’s FTSE ESG overall rating in 2022 was 3.7/5 which is high above the industry average of 2.3. Among hundreds of chemicals related ranked companies, ICL is in the 53% percentile.
ICL scored 75 points by EcoVadis, a 3-point improvement from last year, meaning it is ranked among the top 5% out of 75,000 rated suppliers.
ICL was awarded the maximum Platinum+ ranking, for the fourth straight year, in the 2022 Maala ESG Index. In addition, ICL has been awarded the Maala ESG AA ranking, placing it at the top of the Pharmaceutical & industrial category and was also included in the Israeli Economy & Industry Ministry’s diversity & inclusion index. The Maala ranking is the leading ESG index in Israel.
ICL Iberia – Suria was awarded IFA’s Green Leaf Award, recognizing safety, health and environmental excellence. An in-depth review of 25 applications by an independent panel of SHE experts concluded that ICL Iberia’s plant in Suria, Spain deserves the 2022 Green Leaf Award in the Phosphate/Potash Producer Category for its excellent environmental case study and the overall world class SHE management of a fertilizer mining site.
ICL won the prestigious Verdantixs global competition award for Innovation, Excellence and Improving EHS performance in the fields of safety and social impact. The award commends ICL’s use of decision-based analytics and technology to build safe, reliable, sustainable and resilient operations across 50+ sites in 13 countries, demonstrating how safety improvement can be the foundation for performance excellence and generating positive social impact. This achievement further recognizes ICL’s significant investments in these fields in recent years that enable the safety & protection of our employees, contractors and the environment. ICL has joined the global industry EHS leaders who demonstrate their commitment and strategy to improve EHS performance through advanced concepts, innovation and technology that do so on a global scale.
