ICL is committed to innovation in agriculture and food production and is working with startups and other partners to develop new solutions that can help produce more food using fewer resources, while also reducing the environmental impact of food production. \

For thousands of years, the field of agriculture has been known for its traditional methods. However, in recent years, the agriculture and food industries have experienced a welcome awakening of innovation. This shift towards innovation is driven by the need to create advanced solutions that can help produce more food using fewer resources, while also reducing the environmental impact of food production and addressing the climate crisis.

ICL recognizes the value of innovation, seeing it as a crucial component of its strategy and culture. We believe in forming partnerships and working collaboratively to achieve common goals. To this end, ICL has established several internal and external innovation platforms that work together to maximize the impact of our sustainability efforts.

ICL’s innovation incubator is constantly seeking out and monitoring startups in the FoodTech and AgTech industries that can bring real change to the world. Through its global presence and existing assets, ICL can help startups achieve their goals and make a positive impact on sustainability efforts, including fully owned startups.

One such startup is Agmatix, which operates independently while leveraging ICL’s support and resources. In just two years, Agmatix has partnered with some of the world’s leading agricultural, food, and industrial companies, research institutes and universities, and farmers. Agmatix has generated significant insights into the field in a fast, reliable, and sustainable way. 

Another startup is Growers, an innovator in the field of process and data-driven farming. Growers can reduce fertilizer usage and simultaneously achieve higher quality crops and yields with a lower environmental impact.

ICL is committed to continuing its pursuit of innovation, with the aim of bringing new solutions to market that satisfy the evolving needs of the industry and position the company as a leader in the future of agriculture.
